Ms. Marilyn Sanders Pittman has graciously agreed to be our Fine Arts Advisor for Dance content. In addition to being an accomplished dancer herself, Marilyn has been the Owner/Director of Marilyn Sanders Performing Arts Center in Jasper, Al for the past 31 years. I am honored to have her as an advisor for My A.R.T.S. Kids, and in the near future we will have a full bio for Marilyn.
Dr. Phillip Westbrook
Educational Advisor
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Phillip Westbrook has joined My A.R.T.S. Kids as our Education Advisor. Dr. Westbrook is presently the Assistant Superintendent of the Jasper City Schools. Dr. Westbrook has served the elementary and middle school systems in both teaching and administrative capacities. His knowledge of the core curriculum that children need along with his desire to see that all children receive excellence in schools will serve My A.R.T.S. Kids in our goal to assist in this cause. Mr. Steve Pennington
Voice Advisor
Mr. Steve Pennington of SHOWSTOPPERS has graciously agreed to be the Fine Arts Voice Advisor for My A.R.T.S. Kids. Mr. Steve (as he likes to be called) has many years of experience in Voice and Piano Teaching and many famous students such as the 2005 Miss America - Deidra Downs. Also, his 2006 Senior Class recently completed their own vocal CD which was released at WORKPLAY in Birmingham at his senior class recital night. Welcome Mr. Steve.
Ms. Pam Brown
Drama/Theatre Advisor
Ms. Pam Brown of Jasper, Al has graciously agreed to be the Fine Arts Drama Advisor for My A.R.T.S. Kids. Ms. Brown has experience in drama and fine arts programs within the community, churches, schools, and local television. Her expertise and knowledge will be a tremendous benefit to the success of the My A.R.T.S. Kids programs. Thank you Ms. Brown for your willingness to assist us in our endeavor.
