We accomplished our 2007-2008 school year project entitled, "The Audacity of the ARTS!". Our goal was to raise the required contributions to sponsor a Fine Arts Elementary School Teacher for a public school system which for funding reasons did not have a designated fine arts teacher.
Our teacher, Emily Johnson, began teaching in the Walker County School system this semester. She will be teaching in every elementary school and in every 3rd grade class. We are so excited about this and so grateful to all of our sponsors who helped make this dream a reality!

My name is Meghan Muncher. I am the Founder and Director of My A.R.T.S. Kids. I established My A.R.T.S. Kids in 2005, as a non-profit organization that provides in-school, after-school, summer programs, and fine arts scholarships for children interested in Fine Arts education.
We are now pleased to annouce that My A.R.T.S. Kids has been granted 501(C)(3) recognition by the IRS and all contributions and financial assistance are tax deductible.
My A.R.T.S. Kids is all about the the promotion of the arts to elementary school children. I believe it is necessary for fine arts to be included in school systems along with an excellent language, mathematics, and science curriculums. This will allow children additional opportunities to build self-esteem and discipline, improve character, and develop mentally.
I hope this website provides you with the Fine Arts information that will cause you to sense a call to Action, Reach-out to all children, feel the urge to Teach, and deliver the empowerment of Support that the Fine Arts deserve.

IT'S HERE! Maria the Entertainer!
Our new storyline coloring book about Maria, a young hispanic girl who learns the enlish language through song and her arts. This book is in Spanish as well as English! We are also very excited to announce that we are also working to distribute the MARIA STORY in SANTA MARTA, COLOMBIA, S.A. Many thanks to Senora' Yaneth Meza for her help in these efforts.
My A.R.T.S. Kids 9 Week Lesson Plan
I am excited to announce that our just completed 2007-2008 My A.R.T.S. Kids 9 Week Lesson Plan has been implemented in the Oakman Elementary School and soon will be implemented in the West Jasper Elementary and Sumiton Christian Elementary Schools after-school fine arts programs. Many thanks to the high school volunteers who are working with My A.R.T.S. Kids to teach these classes.

CRIMSON CABARET! Meghan Muncher
The Board of Directors of My A.R.T.S. KIDS is pleased to announce that our Founder and Director, Meghan Muncher, was selected as a member of the 2007-2008 University of Alabama Crimson Cabaret Spirit Squad Dance Team. Meghan will be performing this fall at numerous events such as Homecoming Parade and Half-Time, Soccer and Volleyball Games, and will be performing at all of the Crimson Tide Basketball Games. Congratulations Meghan, We are Proud of You!!!!
